Part 9 of ‘things you didn’t know about Iran Trotter’

The popular Iranian ecotourism series host comments on the show: part 9.

The Iran Trotter host Javad Qaraei has made so many interesting tips about the show and himself in response to journalistic questions in interviews with local media outlets. Here is part 9 of his comments.

In the 8th installment of the series, you read about the rest of the hardships and dangerous situations the team faced at times. Here is how the entire project kicked off in the first place.

One of Iran’s largest news agencies says Iran trotter is different, but interesting way of narrating the nature while depicting Iran’s beautiful natural sights and using words evocative of love toward nature is not all the program offers.

Furthermore, scrutiny in presenting information, which is already expert-reviewed and specific to each particular area, as well as the narration and language techniques in telling the anecdotes, brings about even further proximity among the host and the audience.

Here is Javad Qaraei’s own account. The initial idea was mine. Actually, I could not feel good about many domestic and foreign documentaries which tried to provide the audience with something; but what we did was bombarding the viewers with info via my own style. That is at times smooth and slow, while at other times it is specialized and there are cases where it is only general.

The first thought to produce the series ‘Iran Trotter’ crossed my mind six years ago. I produced the first two episodes with my personal budget by travelling to Khuzestan Province and videotaping the life of Bakhtiari nomads. I then took it to Iran state TV and the manager of the time watched and accepted it. That was how I got the order to produce 13 episodes, each 30 minutes.

In the next installment you will read about what makes Iran trotter’s communication with the people in the series, special; plus more.
